Travers Reservoir before Little Bow Provincial Park

This photograph is from the Krystalowich family archives in Vulcan, but the exact date is unknown.  This is the site that would later become Little Bow Provincial Park.  Though a lot has changed, it is still a beautiful and unique place on the prairie.

I recall helping with the planting of the poplar trees at the beginnings of “Little Bow Park”. I believe it was an initiative of the Lions Club along with churches in the area that helped with volunteers to plant these trees. They were just saplings at the time of planting and to see these majestic trees now had quite the impact when I saw them a few years back. Beautiful park!
