The Forgotten Alberta Blog

Jonathan Koch, whose family has farmed in the Badger Lake area Northeast of Lomond for over 100 years, has been posting material to a blog he created called Forgotten Alberta for a couple of years.  The blog also includes historical content from the neighboring areas to East such as Bow City and Kinnondale, though there is a wealth of material of the Majorville, Travers, Lomdond, Armada areas.   The are many interesting articles, including this one on the Crowfoot Ferry. Also included is a Google Map featuring school sites, railroad sidings, grain elevators, and other locations of historical importance (click here to view). Please check it out, and stay tuned in here to view contributions from Jonathan to the Vulcan County History Blog.
